Buffalo Soldiers of Central VA & Stafford VA Black Knights Collaborate on Turkey Basket Drive

The Buffalo Soldiers of Central Virginia (BSCVA) Motorcycle Chapter, Scholarship Program

The Buffalo Soldiers of Central Virginia (BSCVA) Motorcycle Chapter, sends out to the Culpeper, Louisa, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, and Stafford County High Schools a scholarship package to award two $500 dollar scholarships. The Scholarship starts in March and end May 9th of the year.


The Winner of the BSCVA scholaorship is automatically entered into the Buffalo Soldiers NE Frontier scholarship program. The NE Frontier awards three scholarships, $1000, $500, $500, which consist of awardees from New York state, thru the state of Virginia., The Scholarship are reviewed in June results are provided in the summer of that year.. 

Thurman Brisben Center Homeless Shelter

Thurman Brisben Center has evolved to become much more than just an emergency homeless shelter. The Center provides comprehensive programs and services to assist individuals and families who are at risk of becoming homeless or who have recently become homeless.  

Wreaths Across America

Our mission, Remember, Honor, Teach, is carried out in part by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies a specified Saturday in December at Culpepper National Cemetery, as well as veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states, ceremonies at sea, and 24 national cemeteries on foreign soil. - See more at: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org

WW II Honor Flights

Honor Flight Capital Region’s mission is to provide veterans living in the greater DC-Maryland-Northern Virginia area with a free trip to visit those memorials dedicated to the veterans’ sacrifice and service, and to allow the veterans to experience a special day of honor and remembrance.

The goal of Honor Flight Capital Region is to locate, encourage, and enable willing and able area veterans to visit their memorials on the National Mall. Priority will be given to WW II veterans and terminally ill veterans of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
